A question from Danny:
Hello AIPS ninjas.
Is there any way to import miriad *.uv files -the kind that are whole directories full of binary files- into AIPS?

i use the "fits" task in miriad to write a single fits file of the miriad .uv file directory. then i use the "fitld" task in AIPS to import that fits file.
That's what I do as well.
I've read that miriad sometimes has trouble reading the AIPS flag table, and you have to use a special task (fgflag?) to apply them. I'm not sure if this is a problem going from miriad to AIPS, but it's something to check out!
